For medical students
Explore radiology
Understand the specialty, create meaningful exposure, and speak with people already in the field.
Are you a medical student curious about radiology but unsure what the work actually entails or how artificial intelligence might shape its future? Or are you a college student wondering whether medicine is right, or even possible, for you? These questions can feel harder to navigate without a professional network or someone to turn to for guidance.
Radiology From Zero provides current, evidence-based information to address common misconceptions and explain the work, training pathways, workforce landscape, and emerging trends shaping medicine and radiology. When uncertainty remains, a conversation with someone already in the field can offer a clearer view of the work and what might fit you. Free and volunteer-led, the platform provides a place to begin.
This platform is created by a first-generation physician to pay forward the guidance and generosity that helped make medicine and radiology feel possible.

Guidance makes a distant path feel possible
The path into medicine and the path into radiology begin at different places. Choose the one that reflects where you are now.
For medical students
Understand the specialty, create meaningful exposure, and speak with people already in the field.
For college students
Decide whether medicine feels right and possible, especially when no one in your family has walked the path.
Why this exists
As a first-generation immigrant, college graduate, and physician, I know how distant medicine, and then radiology, can feel when no one in your life has walked the path.
This project pays forward the generosity of mentors who made time for me. The goal is not to persuade every student to choose radiology, but to help each student make a more informed and grounded decision, especially as rapid advances in artificial intelligence create new questions about the specialty’s future.
College students can speak with physicians from any specialty about pursuing medicine. Medical students can speak with radiology residents, fellows, or radiologists about the field. Every conversation is volunteer-led and completely free.
